Proper Brewing on Main is looking for a full-time Assistant Bar Manager to round out our bar and management team. The position is bartending focused with additional responsibilities helping with orders, inventory, training, program development, and helping maintain a positive but focused work culture. The role is full-time with five shifts per week and a combination of days and nights. Starting wage is $13/hr full-time, plus tips from bartending shifts. Proper Brewing is focused on craft beer and is part of our brewery on Main St. We also have a full bar and cocktail program, as well as food available to order delivered from Proper Burger next door.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Opening the bar, getting ready for service, attaching and managing cash drawers
• Cocktail service prep such as juicing and making simple syrups and other ingredients for the cocktail menu
• Rotating product, ensuring freshness and first in first out policies
• Restocking beer coolers and changing kegs
• Bartending, with an emphasis on craft beer knowledge and guiding guests to the best option for their taste
• Assisting with inventory
• Assisting with weekly orders
• Assisting with staff training and continual education
• Working with the Bar Manager and General Manager on developing events and themes to create a dynamic atmosphere for our guests
• Closing the bar, breaking down stations, closing side work, and securing the building
