Medical Director / Physician - Adult Geriatric Population - LIFE Program

Our partner is seeking a Medical Director to join their growing team in the lower part of Kent County, DE.

This is an all-inclusive care program for patients who are 55+ and need nursing home level care, but want to remain living independently at home.

It will be ~50% clinical / 50% administrative. The administrative component will consist of supervising 1 Advanced Practice Provider, indirectly managing office staff, leading quality initiatives, ensuring compliance, etc.

Schedule (FT or PT):

• Full Time: regular business hours, 5 8's are ideal, but can potentially accommodate 4 10's
• Part Time: ideally 20-32 hours/week, but can potentially accommodate 8-16 hours/week
• No weekends or nights required
• On-call once every 4-6 weeks and can be done virtually/telephonically from home (very rare that you receive a call)

Compensation: $240,000 - $290,000/year base salary, dependent on experience, plus a 10% performance bonus

Medical Director Responsibilities:

• Supervises, mentors and supports the medical staff
• Perform comprehensive physical evaluations for a Geriatric population
• Develop individualized care plans and ensure appropriate follow up through the care continuum
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team consisting of Nurse Practitioners, RN’s, Dieticians, Pharmacists, Social Workers, Cardiologists and Podiatrists
• Prescribe all necessary medications/treatments and educate patients/families about medication usage
• Work within all state/federal laws and regulations
• Assist senior leadership in the ongoing development and implementation of medical policies

Qualifications:

• MD or DO with current state license or ability to obtain
• Board Certification in Family Practice, Internal Medicine or related specialty
• 2+ years of experience as a Physician with the Adult Geriatric population
• 1+ year of Physician leadership experience, highly preferred
