Job Description

Our office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is now hiring a Multimedia and Motion Graphic Designer! The Multimedia and Motion Graphic Designer will be responsible for concepting and creating engaging, informative, and cutting-edge designs for Lamar's Transit & Airport Division on local, regional, and national levels. This includes animated videos, multimedia, and motion graphic designs.

The Transit & Airport division of Lamar Advertising takes advertisements street-level and delivers the advertising message to drivers and pedestrians in a fresh, non-conventional way. We assist local, regional, and national advertisers reach their target audience on the go - where they live, work, shop, dine, play, and everywhere in between.

What we're looking for in YOU:

  • Professional-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs with an emphasis on Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere and Audition.
  • Must possess a high level of interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Must be proactive and take initiative on projects and future evolution of multimedia/motion graphics.
  • Ability to alter workflow to complete projects on short notice, and have the ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and resources in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Script writing and copywriting experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to organize and work collaboratively with others.
  • Must be creative and innovative - able to find solutions to complex problems.

Education and Experience Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field: Advertising, Marketing, Graphic Design, Videography, Animation, Multimedia Arts or Mass Communication.
  • 2+ years of related work experience .
  • Video, Motion Graphic, and Photography experience.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred

  • Experience in the outdoor advertising industry.

A day in the life:

  • Conceptualize and produce multimedia and motion graphic sales support designs locally, regionally and nationally.
    • This encompasses developing a wide-range of animated content, including but not limited to:
    • Full-Motion Sizzle Reel videos (start to finish with music beds)
    • Market-Specific Highlight Reels
    • Intro/Outro Video Segments
    • High Design/Profile Presentation Design + Animation
    • Social Media Motion Graphics and GIFs
    • Client Testimonials
    • Event-Related Motion Visual Support
    • Internal Video Cto Aid with Training and Employee Engagement
    • Other Motion-Related Projects, as Needed.
  • Responsible for managing video and motion graphic assets including, but not limited to:
    • Creation and delivery of motion graphics and animated sales support and additional progressive media to meet ever-evolving sales conversations.
    • Upholding Lamar brand standards and injecting creativity and innovation into complex visual narratives.
  • Proactively monitor and evolve multimedia and motion graphic visuals as technology and trends arise, ensuring alignment with sales revenue goals.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • The primary work environment is an office.
  • The physical demands include: lifting less than 25%, seeing: reading, color distinction, acuity, depth perception, sitting greater than 50% of the time, and talking.
  • The typical percentage of time spent traveling and spending nights away from home is less than 25%.
