Summary The Dining Room Supervisor plays an integral role in the success of our team, our community and creating a place our residents are proud to call home.
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure a quality dining experience by greeting and seating residents and guests, overseeing dining room staff and maintaining a pleasant and clean dining environment.
Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities - Responsible for the daily operations of the dining room. Ensures smooth and timely opening of the dining room, including the facilitation of the pre-meal meeting. Inspects cleaning and closing of the dining room.
- Provides supervision for special functions
- Greet and seat residents and guests.
- Ensures consistently high quality customer service in the dining room.
- Assists the dining service manager, hiring, training, disciplining and terminating employees.
- Maintain a work environment that is clean and presents a professional image.
- Attend and participate in in-services as required by federal, state, and company requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications - Capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to understand and communicate written and verbal directions
- Regular attendance, reliability and punctuality is necessary
- Ability to work nights and weekends, upon request
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- May be responsible to work on an on-call basis
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Well organized with excellent attention to detail
- Aptitude to work independently with excellent time management skills
Education and Experience - High school diploma or equivalent
- Supervisory experience in food service
