Job Overview:
A law firm based in North Charleston, SC, is seeking a dedicated and client-focused Real Estate Closing Attorney to support its expanding practice. This opportunity involves managing a variety of real estate transactions with a focus on delivering efficient closings and exceptional service. The ideal candidate will bring experience in residential and/or commercial closings and a strong ability to foster professional relationships within the real estate community.

Duties:

Facilitate end-to-end oversight of real estate closings, including both commercial and residential sales and refinancing

Examine and interpret title documents to identify and resolve issues

Collaborate with buyers, sellers, financial institutions, agents, and brokers throughout the transaction process

Prepare and review legal instruments such as deeds, leases, contracts, and related documentation

Provide clear, professional communication to clients and resolve inquiries effectively

Approve closing disbursement ledgers and sign relevant financial instruments

Engage in outreach and relationship-building efforts to support firm growth

Conduct informational sessions or seminars for prospective clients on applicable legal topics

Requirements:

Background in real estate closings, preferably residential

Active member in good standing with the South Carolina State Bar

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Proactive approach to local engagement and relationship development

Focused on continuous professional growth, with an orientation toward real estate law

Proven track record of dependability and professionalism

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in South Carolina

Skills:

Transactional real estate knowledge

Title review proficiency

Legal drafting and analysis

Community-oriented networking abilities
