Travel RN – Med/Surg
Location: Thornton, CO
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg to join a high-energy, fast-paced medical-surgical unit in Thornton, CO. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, adaptability, and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.

Unit Details:

• Beds: 29 (can overflow up to 39)
• Staffing: Nights – Charge RN, 8 RNs, ACT coverage from 10 AM – 10 PM
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Equipment: Remote telemetry
• EMR: MediTech

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Proficiency in telemetry and strip reading
• Active RN license in Colorado or Compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• ACLS certification
• Experience with post-op surgical patients
• Familiarity with cardiac drips (e.g., amiodarone, diltiazem) and heparin drips

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips
• Provide post-operative care and support recovery

Pay Package:

• Hourly (W2, Taxable): $18/hour
• Non-Taxable Weekly Stipend: $1,504.30
